For all its hassles, frequent business travel is mostly fun, according to a new survey of 1,001 business travelers.
A huge majority ? 86% ? say they like preparing for trips, and 88% say they feel positive while on the trips.
The key? Sixty percent say frequent travel gives them a lot of freedom.
The survey, done by Fairfield Inn Suites by Marriott, found that a most valued part of business travel was experiencing new places, trying new foods, not going into the office and spending time alone; 21% said they can get more done on the road than in the office.
Business travel improves self confidence ? 76% said they feel more prepared in life.
About a third of respondents said they would like to travel for business even more.
And 59% said that the separation instills a ?honeymoon? feel to their relationship with their spouse.
Still, the tug of home is always with business travelers ? 74% keep in touch with family and friends back home at least once a day. Nearly half bring a small personal item with them to remind them of loved ones. And 86% said that because they travel for business, they value time with family and friends more.
